"They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and the prayers."
- Acts 2:42

Worship, and particularly communal worship, is an important part of living out our lives of faith. Tyson House provides opportunities for gathering together for worship, as well as resources to support your personal life of prayer.

Opportunities for Worship

6:04 Dinner and Worship

  • Our primary time for gathering together during the academic year is on Sunday evenings at 6:04pm, offering a time to share a home-cooked meal provided by supporting congregations, followed by a worship service of the Holy Eucharist (Communion). Worship includes hymns, readings from the Bible, a sermon, prayers, and Holy Communion.

Wednesday Eucharist

  • Each Wednesday at noon, we gather for a brief 25 minute service of Holy Communion. Come and recenter yourself amidst the busyness of the school and work week.

Morning Prayer

  • Morning Prayer is an ancient service that both the Episcopal Church and Lutheran Church hold in common. This morning service of readings is a great way to start your day. The service lasts about 20 minutes. and is offered Monday-Thursday at 9:30 am.
