"They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and the prayers."
- Acts 2:42

Worship, and particularly communal worship, is an important part of living out our lives of faith. Tyson House provides opportunities for gathering together for worship, as well as resources to support your personal life of prayer.

Opportunities for Worship

6:04 Dinner and Worship

  • Our primary time for gathering together during the academic year is on Sunday evenings at 6:04pm, offering a time to share a home-cooked meal provided by supporting congregations, followed by a worship service of the Holy Eucharist (Communion) in a blend of ancient traditions and modern style, seeking relevant engagement with each of our real, lived experiences.

Summer Worship

  • During the summer, we gather for a spoken service of Holy Communion at 6:00 pm on Sunday evening.

Morning Prayer

  • Morning Prayer is an ancient service that both the Episcopal Church and Lutheran Church hold in common. This morning service of readings is a great way to start your day. The service lasts about 20 minutes. and is offered Monday-Thursday at 9:30 am.
